The Champagne&Pearl Experience

Marriage is one great journey you'll set out on. It challenges you to be the best version of yourself while pushing you to be the best partner for your spouse. Remember the excitement for your first date? Or the rush of adrenaline as he popped the question? Those feelings are the reason I'm a photographer. In a world full of Pinterest where everyone wants the perfect venue, dress, or cake, what really matters is the love the two of you share. Creating family heirlooms is such an honor for me!

One way I ensure that my brides and grooms enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible, is through forming a relationship with my couples. I try my best to make sure that any couple inquiring with me is a PERFECT fit for us both before officially booking. A bride and groom should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer, and be EXCITED about the whole process with them! After booking, I love getting to know my clients through a scheduled

ENGAGEMENT SESSION that helps them warm up to the camera so that they are ready to rock and roll on the wedding day! By the time the wedding day arrives my clients feel more like friends, and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for the best photos!

Love Notes...

“We hired Kelsey as our wedding photographer and she was incredible. From her professionalism, warmth, clear direction for group shots, to my also never knowing where she was during the ceremony as she was so discrete and never in the way. She also felt like a part of the family! Our photos, the online gallery, the photo album and the prints are STUNNING. We HIGHLY recommend her for any event you have.”

My goal as a wedding photographer is to make this one aspect of the planning process SIMPLE. Photography is more than just images, it’s a real part of your day and it’s your story captured as a paper time capsule showing the beginning of the rest of your lives together. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. When couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that results in genuine, joyful images! When I think back to my wedding day, I remember amazing memories... But most of the moments I remember really well are the instances that were captured in my pictures. They are priceless to me. I experienced what it feels like to be in front of the camera as a bride. Your wedding day is an experience from beginning to end and your photography is a huge part of that experience... Shouldn’t it be fun? and enjoyable? and natural? I think so! My goal is to not only capture memories for my clients, it’s to create an experience that they will never forget.

What kind of gear do you use?

I simultaneously use two Canon 5Dm3 Full-Frame cameras with various focal length, low-aperture, prime lenses. I also use external flashes for dark environments when needed, typically during receptions or in low-lit churches.

How do you prevent loss of images?

I have a few ways; First, the cameras I use have a dual card slot so if one card corrupts the images are saved to a second card. Second, if one of my cameras malfunctions I have a back up as well. Lastly, once I upload the photos to my computer for editing, I also back up to a separate external hard drive.

What if our date changes?

Sometimes life gets crazy and that's okay! There are no fees associated if the need to reschedule or move your wedding date comes up. The new date would be subject to an open day on the photographers schedule and it's always a good idea to first see what open dates the photographer currently has in your new timeframe before committing to another date with the venue. Should there be no way an open date can be agreed upon, repayment would follow the terms of the client agreement contract.

Will there be a second shooter?

This will be completely dependent upon your timeline. For a typical wedding there are no issues with shooting the day myself as we will always walk through the timeline before hand and I'm in constant communication with the bride. Additionally, there is still an option to add the second shooter to your package at an hourly rate.
*A Second shooter can be added to your package up to 3 months in advance of the wedding day.

How long until I receive my edited photos?

Basic sessions like an engagement shoot typically take between 2-3 weeks from the date of the session. This can vary depending on how many weddings are scheduled at that time. For weddings, in 4-6 weeks you receive your online gallery link which you will then select your favorites for the album and prints which will take an additional 2 weeks for creation, final approval before order and shipping.

Do I have to order prints through you?

With the final gallery comes a print release that gives permission for you to print where, when, and how you desire. I do offer my own prints for purchase with guaranteed quality as well for a worry-free premium experience.
*When you self print the quality can not be guaranteed based on the shop you choose to go through as every print kiosk has different settings/paper/and ink.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Absolutely! Traveling is a passion of mine therefore I'm always looking to add new places to my bucket list. Shooting a Designation wedding also makes your wedding day more intimate and specialized to you both as the couple so I would be honored to be a part of that.
